Artist Kim Bach’s paintings on show Date:7/26/2007 8:55:10 AM VietNamNet Bridge – An exhibition themed The Country and People of Vietnam and International Friendship, featuring 180 works by artist Le Thi Kim Bach in various mediums such as silk, oil paint, lacquer ware, water colors, pencil, carving and pottery inlay, was launched at the HCMC Fine Arts Museum, 97A Pho Duc Chinh Street, District 1.

| A foreign visitor contemplates a portrait in water color by artist Kim Bach. | Born in Thu Thua District, Tan An Province, Le Thi Kim Bach graduated from Hanoi Fine Arts Intermediary School in 1960 and from the Oil Painting Faculty of Kiev State Fine Arts University, Soviet Union in 1967.
She worked as an instructor at the Hanoi Industrial Fine Arts University from 1967 to 1993, and completed a post-graduate program at the Kiev State Fine Arts University in 1984.
She has been Chairwoman of the Arts Council of Hanoi Fine Arts Association and of the Arts Council of Vietnamese Fine Arts Association.
Kim Bach, aged 79, has spent nearly half a century contributing to Vietnamese fine arts in her role as a painter as well as an art teacher, training many generations of young artists.
Her works contain human sentiments, love for life and generalize reality with romance and full of poetic character.
For this exhibition she presented the HCMC Fine Arts Museum with 16 paintings. The exhibition runs until August 22.
